私が作るものは、用具であり小さな空間である。

“隔てる”という機能を持つ箱に硝子素材を使うことで空間を緩やかに繋ぐ。

大切なものを入れるための箱として『ときの箱』と名付けています。

私が考える大切なものとは、人が経験する時間に纏わるもの。

一人の人間が大切にするものは、側からみれば捨て置くようなものかもしれませんが、そこには個人が経験した情や心があり、はかることのできない美しさがあると思います。

他者が決めた価値に捉われずに自身の機微に気付き認め、胸に抱くように生きることは大切なことであると考えています。

 

表面に彫り込む文様や色は、言葉または自然のことから着想を得ています。

今を生きる私の目の前にある美しいものを書き留めるように作ることで、見る人の記憶にある情景につながるものであり、美しいものは遠くだけではなく目の前にあるということに気が付くきっかけとなれば嬉しく思います。

I am creating glass boxes to house precious items, much like capturing the beauty around me.

-the plants, the sky, the changing seasons, and beautiful words-
What I consider 'precious' encompasses the time we've experienced and things that hold hope for the future. It could be a ring, a stone, a leaf, or even the very air.
These things are not a value determined by others, but a reflection of a person's life, which is why I titled it "ときの箱(Toki no Hako) - The Box of Time.”
I hope that 'ときの箱' will enrich the lives of those who use them and encourage a reconsideration of things we often overlook because they seem so commonplace: that our everyday, ordinary moments shape our lives, and that beauty isn't solely found far away but also right in front of us.
